  • RAMC/223/1: Indenture of apprenticeship for five years between William Pirie, Doctor of Medicine at Kings and Marischal Colleges, Aberdeen, and Alexander, son of the Reverend George Simpson of Tyrie, Aberdeenshire, 1836.
  • RAMC/223/2: Appointment as assistant surgeon in the East India Company, 1844.
  • RAMC/223/3: Commission as assistant surgeon in the Queen's Army of the East Indies, 1844.
  • RAMC/223/4: Commission as surgeon in the Queen's Army of the East Indies, 1858.
