Description
Photograph of three surgical instruments with maker's marks. The abcess lancet has a crown as a maker's mark and was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1957 (accession number R17/1957). The bleeding lancet has a crown and "R" as a maker's mark and was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1957 (accession number R20/1957). The bistoury has a spade and the name "Still" as a maker's mark. It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R4604/1936). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
