Description

Photograph of a wooden rattle with nut shells on the edges and an anthropomorphic figure carved in the middle, from West Africa. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1934 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R5435/1936). It was removed from the Museum's holdings in 1966.
