Description
Three Greek oinochoe. The first shows a male figure holding a strigil standing between two cloaked figures. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1923 and accessioned in 1946 (accession number R224/1946). The second shows a male figure holding a strigil standing between two cloaked figures. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1924 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R327/1936). The third shows a female figure holding a strigil and a second figure above on the neck. It was purchased at auction in 1923 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R396/1936). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
