Description

A woman in miltary style clothing standing under a tree with a drum and canon, possibly a depiction of woman playing the title role of 'L'aiglon', a play by Edmond Rostand based on the life of Napoleon II. Inscribed by the creator on the front. Hospital ward, creator's name and date of creation are inscribed on the reverse, probably by Edward Adamson.
