Description

From left to right: 16th century dental forceps acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A500404. They are now held by the Science Museum (object number A500404); prototype 17th century Italian forceps acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1918 (accession number R8569); steel forceps showing the transition between pelicans and forceps that were acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R8709); forceps with no particulars; and 18th century steel forceps with decorated handles acquired by the Musuem at an unknown point and accessioned in 1918 (accession number R8568).
