Description

Photograph of three Roman votive offerings in the form of a uterus. One is wrinkled to represent the uterus after delivery. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Musuem at an unknown point and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R2479/1936). The middle item was purchased by the Museum in Rome in c.1924 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R3387/1936). There are no particulars about the third item.
