Photograph of an illustration from Medicina Antiqua, a 13th century manuscript held by the Austrian National Library (Codex Vindobonensis 93). The illustration possibly depicts the use of the juice and fumes of the herb pedeleonis to release a man who has been paralysed by witchcraft, with text in Latin. Another photograph of this image was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 9th October 1935 (PHO 5173).
