Description

Photograph of a pocket surgical instrument case, silver mounted with tortoiseshell with lancets, forceps, spring and cross-action type, needle tongue depressor and director. The case is inscribed "MEIZO FRANCO DIRALA ANODE, 1707". It was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R11556).
