Description
Two images on one negative: reproductions of two photographs of fire making tools found at two ruined sites to the south and east of the Taklamakan Desert, China. Published in Joyce, T. A: " Note on a Number of Fire-Sticks from Ruined Sites on the South and East of the Takla-Makan Desert, Collected by Dr. M. A. Stein", Man, vol.11, 1911. A photograph of the journal illustrations was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1938 (accession number PHO 10841).
