Copies of the pharmacopoeias of Guy's, St Thomas', and St Bartholomew's Hospitals, London, all dated 1743 [texts divergent from those published in Robert Poole, A physical vade mecum (London, 1741)], together with drawings of bandages, notes on medical topics and additional pharmaceutical formulae.

The manuscript collection of the Medical Society of London, of which this material formerly was part, was purchased by the library at Wellcome Collection in 1984.
