Painting of seven red ladders with purple crosses and short horizontal lines between the rungs. Lettering added by the creator between the rungs of the right hand ladder read 'Faith ; Hope ; Purity ; but no Love'. Creator's name, interpretation and date of creation are inscribed on the reverse, probably by Edward Adamson.
