Description
Photograph of the blades of three surgical insturments with maker's marks. One bistoury has a key as a maker's mark, the lancet has a crown and star and the other bistoury has a heart and crown. The bistoury with a star was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R3704/1936). The lancet was purchased by the Museum in 1919 and accessioned in 1957 (accession number R19/1957) and the other bistoury was purchased by the Museum in 1925 and accessioned in 1925 (accession number R16369). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
