"The Blue Ward"

Previous title, replaced January 2025: A young woman in a hospital bed looking into a green vase, while a cleaning woman looks on. Watercolour by P. Bentall, 1965.

The woman wears an apron and holds a broom, possibly a depiction of a cleaner, likely a patient, in Netherne Hospital. Signed and inscribed in pencil on reverse by the creator. Creator's name and date of creation inscribed on the reverse, probably by Edward Adamson
