Description

Todd, John Lancelot: Diary commenced at Tschofa May 13th/05 [to 29 August]. Author's holograph MS. Written in a 'T.J. & J. Smiths Commercial Scribbling Diary. No. 9.' for 1904: interleaved with blotting-paper. On the first leaf this is stated to be 'Vol. 3.' The tour included a voyage on the River Congo, and Léopoldville was reached on August 8. Todd was at Sierra Leone on August 11, and left for Liverpool on August 22.
