Description

Photograph of four Greek lekythos. From left to right, the first is Attic and is decorated with two male figures driving chariots. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and an unknown point and accessioned in 1957 (accession number 84/1957). The second is Attic and is decorated with satyrs and maenads dancing. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R4526/1937). The third is decorated with a male figure driving a chariot with an attendant standing by. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1924 and accessioned by 1936 (accession number R1329/1936). The fourth is decorated with five draped, dancing figures. It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1957 (accession number R83/1957).
