Description
Photograph of a urethroscope introduced by Dr Leopold Casper, c.1900. The source of light is placed in the handle of the instrument. The light is refracted by the prism and passesd own the urethral tube, which is attached to the ring. The observer looks through the prism. Vaginal, rectal, aural and nasal specula could be used with this instrument. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A181884
