Photograph of a letter dated 23 July 1891 accompanying Lister's Diploma for a Corresponding Member of the Real Societa Italiana D'Igiene. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
