Photograph of three pairs of Chinese shoes for feet that have undergone the practice of foot binding. The top pair were purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1931 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R1414/1937). The middle pair were acquired in 1934 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R911/1938). The bottom pair were purchased at auction in 1921 and accessioned in 1939 (accession number R2615/1939)
