Photograph of a letter from the Society of Physicians and Apothecaries of the County of Zemblen, Hungary, announcing Lister's election as an Honorary Member and expressing regret that he had been unable to visit them when he was in Carpathians. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
