Description

Letter from the Secretary of the Royal Society to J B S Haldane enclosing letters received by the Royal Society from George Sarton, Editor of Isis. Consists of a letter from George Sarton to the Royal Society referring to a letter by Ashley Montagu, Associate Editor of Isis, criticising the attitude of the British government's use of scientists in the war effort, which made specific reference to comments made by Haldane and J D Bernal in the New Statesman and Nation; Montagu's letter is also enclosed.
