Patterns

A mixture of drawings and paintings of patterns, symbols and abstract depictions of emotions. Many of the artworks are accompanied by notes on their design by Amiss, and some titled and specifically dated 1946, presumed schoolwork. These include 'Joy', 'Sad', 'Despair' and 'Royalty'

15 sheets pen and ink drawings, pencil drawings, watercolour drawings, possibly acrylic paintings, on paper; sheets range in size from 15.7 x 13.7 cm to 56 x 38 cm.
