Photograph of a copy of the Alfred Jewel, an Anglo-Saxon jewel associated with Alfred the Great, king of the West Saxons 871-99, found at North Petherton, Somerset, England in 1693. The item was previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum but is not held by Wellcome Collection.
