Notes

Gordon Warburton is going to be supporting the charity Stonewall on the plinth, he will be wearing a their t-shirt and holding a banner. He doesn't know whether he is going to talk yet, but if he does he will talk about gay hate crime, people who have lost their lives because they are gay and what Stonewall means to him. He discusses how Stonewall have helped him in his life and how they have protected gay rights. He is more than happy for people to ask him questions on the plinth, but is not expecting it. Although currently an optician, it is not something he actively pursued, rather something he fell into. He's not too worried about his career and what he will do, he's just going with the flow and as long as he is happy that's all he is concerned about. He talks about his friends and family and how much they mean to him and how they reacted to him going on to the plinth. He is involved in amateur dramatics, which he very much enjoys. He says that he is going on the plinth for himself so that he can be more confident, because he is usually a very self concious person.
