Description
Photograph of an ivory effigy of a female figure with a protruding abdomen, likely to represent pregnancy. Thought to originate from , but it has certain features that are characteristic of Basonge items. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R591/1937). It was removed from the Museum's holdings in 1965..
