Photograph of a letter dated 15 August 1878 from the Societe Royale des Sciences medicales et naturelles de Bruxelles announcing Lister's election as a Corresponding Member. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
