Description
Impressions from three seals. On the left is a black stone seal incised with a scene from the Gilgamesh epic and lines of inscription. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1938 (R2359/1938). The middle seal is made of black stone incised with an image of Gilgamesh, Enkidu and five animals. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1923 and accessioned in 1930 (accession number R38165). The right seal was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1920 and given accession number A77346.
