Photograph of a stone tjurunga, or churinga, an object considered to be of religious significance by Aboriginal people from Central Australia. It was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1933 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R5304/1936). It was removed from the Musuem in 1966.
