Description
Photograph of four monaural stethoscopes, 19th century designed by (left to right) Hare, Baron (1882) and Fergusson or Stokes. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1936 and 1955, accession numbers (left to right): R93/1955, R2289/1936, R2314/1936 and R2553/1936. The first four are now held by the Science Museum (object numbers A625046, A625067, A625001). None are held by Wellcome Collection.
