Biographical note
Hans Gerhart Kohler (1915-2004) was a pathologist specialising in perinatal pathology. Between 1963 and 1980 he was a Consultant Pathologist at Leeds Maternity Hospital. Kohler was born in Spaaz, Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic, or Czechia) and came to Great Britain via Holland on the last Kindertransport
Ownership note
The papers were given to the Thalidomide Society by Kohler's daughter Irene, after his death. The Society deposited the papers with Wellcome Collection as part of accession 2748.
