Description
Series of glass 16” by 12” (40cm x 30 cm) plate slides of x-ray diffraction images of DNA and RNA relating to research conducted in the Medical Research Council (MRC) Biophysics Research Unit, King’s College London (from 1964, King’s College London Department of Biophysics). The images of DNA, RNA and nucleoproteins chiefly date from the early 1960s - some are captioned with reference number, exposure time and type of sample used. Some glass plates have an additional attached plastic sheet marked with co-ordinates of the diffraction pattern.
