Description

Photograph of a letter dated 30 November 1875 from the Society of Medicine of Leipzig awarding Lister the Diploma of Honorary membership of the Society. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
