Description
Photograph of two Dutch pharmacy jars, syrup-jar shaped. One is decorated with a peacock and basket of flowers device and is inscribed "S.MIRTIN". It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1940 (accession number R754/1940). The other is decorated with a cheub's head above the label panel and a grotesque haed below. Inscribed "OXIMEL . SIMPLEX". It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1926 (accession number R17349). Neither is held by Wellcome Collection. Related images: M0018723EB, M0018724EB
