From left to to right: Liston's artery forceps acquired by the Wellcome Medical Historical Museum at an unknown point and given accessioned number A500402; Duffenbach's bulldog forcepts; Charriere's cross-action forceps acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1922 (accession number R24352); Thornton's steel compression forceps acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R13174); Spencer Wells' first type of straight artery forceps acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R13173); and a later type of Spencer Wells artery forceps acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A204192.
