Description
A reproduction of a photograph of a statue of Antinous, Greek youth from Bithynia and a favourite of the Roman emperor Hadrian. The original statue is made of parian marble and was found in the Villa Hadriana at Tivoli in central Italy. The statue was previous on sale as part of the Hope collection at Christie's auction house in 1917.
