Photograph of two pairs of spectacles with cases. The first is a pair of early 18th century tortoise-shell rimmed glasses with a metal bridge and no lenses, with a wooden case covered with fishskin. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R11530). The second is a pair of early 18th century metal rimmed glasses in a brass case. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1924 (accession number R15789). Neither pair are held by Wellcome Collection.
