Photograph of an oil painting by Herbert Sydney, of Thomas Edison (1847-1931), American inventor, standing with hands in pockets. The painting was acquired at auction from Stevens on 29th July 1924, Lot 257, and accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum (CC 2284).
