Comprises: Correspondence from James Farquharson, a Medico-Botanical Society collector, to Humphrey Gibbs, Society Secretary, dealing with difficulties of collecting subscriptions and the conduct of John Frost (1803-1840), the Society's founder, 1830-1835 (MS.7148/1-3); and certificate of election of C.E. Jenkins to a fellowship of the Society, signed by Philip Henry Stanhope, 4th Earl Stanhope (1781-1855) (President), Humphrey Gibbs (Secretary), John P. Yosy (probably Frost's brother-in-law) and two others, 1830 (MS.7148/4).
