About this work

Description

This is a recording of the low-level boiler drone which was present in the rooms where some of the interviews for this project were conducted. This low-level sound was treated with post-production processing to make it resemble an aged record, whilst retaining the ambient sound of the room. It was used to create subtle fade in and fade-outs when the voices were being edited, as a sort of sonic underlay in the mix to "patch" sudden cuts or edits.
