Photograph of an English guinea balance and the top of its black japanned box decorated with the female figure of Justice. The item was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1935 where it was thought to be an apothecary's scales. It was given accession number A139721. It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
