Photograph of the first page of a letter dated 2 March 1889 announcing Lister's election as Foreign Member of the Academie Royales des Science of Sweden. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
