'Incidence'

Correspondence, reports and newspaper cuttings relating to research by Dr Louis Sambon in Italy and other countries, into the high incidence of cancer in certain geographical areas, funded by the Campaign and later jointly with the Tropical Disease Prevention Association; problems involved in obtaining permissions to publish Sambon's report, relations between the Campaign and TDPA; and the TDPA's proposals to fund investigations into the incidence of cancer in the Isle of Man.

Sambon was the first person to receive an overseas grant from the Campaign, in 1924. He died before he could finish his mammoth report on the history of cancer and the latest research. He posited a virus causation.
