Among the dried or stuffed animals are a crocodile, a snake, an armadillo etc. A conch shell acts as a lamp. On the table is a horoscope. Within a cupboard hangs a complete human skeleton on which perches an owl. On a shelf are a book by "Plini" - Pliny the Elder, Natural history (A.D.77) and "Bodin" - Jean Bodin (1530-96) who wrote De la démonomanie des sorciers (1580) and "Merlin". Scattered on the ground are a bottled homunculus and telescope. Also lying on the ground is a rat-trap near to a cat
