Photograph of a carved wooden ancestral effigy, an anthropomorphic figure standing on a boar's head. From the Sepik river region of New Guinea. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1939 (accession number R3074/1939). It was removed from the Museum's holdings in 1965
