Description
Photograph of a the maker's marks on two pairs of French obstetrical forceps. One pair is of the type introduced by Antoine Dubois in 1791. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1915 (accession number R1396). The other is a pair is a a version of the Levret type II forceps marked with a crown and "H". They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A500328. Related images: M0019953EB and M0019954EB
