Photograph of a display board from a Charles Scott Sherrington exhibition for the Symposium on the History and Philosophy of the Knowledge of the Brain, 15-17 July 1957. The board shows drawings of the hands of the operator, the human spinal cord; dissection of the salivary glands and dissection of the muscles and nerves in a rabbit's thigh. Charles Scott Sherrington (1857-1952) was an English neurophysiologist, histologist, bacteriologist and pathologist.
