Description
Two photographs on one negative. One is of the rear of Maney House, a sanatorium started by Doctor George Bodington in 1840 for the treatment of tuberculosis. The second is of The Driffold, an asylum founded by Bodington, also for the treatment of tuberculosis. Both photographs were presented to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum by Dr Richard J. Cyriax in 1938. The photograph of Maney House was accessioned in 1938 (accession number PHO 10762).
