Biographical note

Jacques Ruffié was Director of the Centre d'Hémotypologie, Toulouse, France. He later also held the Chair of Physical Anthropology at the Collège de France in Toulouse. Mourant was a member of the Comité de Direction du Centre d'Hémotypologie from 1969 to 1977.
