Photograph of two medallions, one depicting St. George and the dragon. According to the M series register they were worn by sailors as amulets to prevent drowning, and sold near London Docks. The medallions were previously part of the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine but are no longer held by Wellcome Collection.
