Description

Photograph of a pair of spectacles and two cases. The lone case is 17th century Italian made of wood. It is carved with figures of the Virgin Mary and two saints. It was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R15169). The pair of glasses are horn rimmed with a metal bridge and come with a tooled leather case with stamped initials "I. B." They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R14349). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
